LEVEL: HIGHLINE

New York, NY

LEVEL: High Line is a design for a mixed-use apartment building Located in West Chelsea, New York City. It has 3 major segments; the “Slab”, the “Tower”, and the “Crown”. Two observatories separate the three. The program includes, a gym, art galleries, as well as varied apartment types. The “Slab” is constructed with brick and steel in a coarse industrial fashion with curtain wall to begin the transition toward a more modern building. The steel of the“Slab” also emulates the steel columns of the High Line, giving off the effect that LEVEL holds up the High Line. The "Tower" houses the residential portion while the "Crown" is only the penthouses.
Designed in collaboration with Kalil Mella for Professor Roberto Behar's studio course at the University of Miami.
